 SO WHAT'S IT

ALL ABOUT?

The High Atlas Mountains in North Africa are simply stunning, a long mountain range that separates the Atlantic Coast with the Sahara Desert. There are a number of 4000m peaks, the highest being Jebel Toubkal at 4167m.

The High Altas are very accessible from the UK, indeed I can arrive at the foot of them quicker than travelling to parts of Scotland! The aim of this trip is to summit Jebel Toubkal, immerse ourselves in the traditional Berber and Moroccan Culture and most importantly have a fantastic experience!

I have visited Morocco almost 20 times now, both for work and personal trips, summiting Jebel Toubkal many times both in winter and summer. My relationship with the local Berbers is very privileged and one that benefits us in many ways, you won't be disappointed...

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...

DO I NEED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE?

Ideally you will have some mountain walking experience behind you, this is an adventurous trip and to give yourself the best opportunity to enjoy this week, prior fitness training in the hills and mountains is essential. We will be affected by the effects of altitude during the week and whilst we’ll discuss how to manage this, so combined with the effects of altitude, it’s a fairly challenging environment.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?

Your normal summer hill walking kit and plenty of sun protection!

I will send you a detailed kit list when you confirm your place.

WHERE DO WE MEET?

I don’t book your flights, rather once they are released I will confirm the flight I’m flying on and you book your own. Then we will meet centrally at the UK airport. If you wish to fly from another airport then you will need to ensure it arrives and departs in a similar timeframe to mine.
